QUALIFICATIONS:

Robert H. Davis is the founder and former President of RHD.  Mr. Davis founded RHD  in 1990 to provide engineers with accurate subsurface utility information. Previously, for over twenty-five years, president /owner of plumbing and mechanical contracting businesses engaged in the design and installation of plumbing and mechanical systems.

Mr. Davis has been active in promoting Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE).  As the co-founder and first President of the Underground Utilities and Leak Locators Association (UULLA), Mr. Davis has been a leader demonstrating professionalism and providing training for underground utilities locating and leak detection.

 Mr. Davis has authored an article on “The Georgia Dig Law” that was published by The Georgia Engineer

Mr. Davis has provided training programs to engineering firms and presentations to technical associations on “The Techniques, Capabilities, and Limitations of Underground Utilities Locating and Mapping”. 

Additional training includes Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Underground Utility Locating, Certified Confined Space Entry Program, and special instruction in mainline video inspection equipment.

Joel Davis

QUALIFICATIONS:

Mr. Davis is the current President of RHD Services.  He has over 15 years of experience in construction and design.  This includes 10 years of experience as owner of a contracting company where he was responsible for estimating, accounting, purchasing, designing, and supervising the installation of construction work.

Mr. Davis has four years experience working for Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche on construction related consulting engagements which include process improvement studies and construction/acquisition related federal tax deprecation reports. 

Mr. Davis has been in involved in various Subsurface Utility Engineering projects and presentations to professional organizations & engineering companies.  Currently serves on the Georgia Utility Facility Protection Act Advisory Committee to the Georgia Public Service Commission as the Utility Locator representative. Some of the projects include work for The City of Atlanta, Army Corp of Engineers, Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and other complex facilities.  Mr. Davis has coauthored an article on Ground Penetrating Radar that was published by The Georgia Engineer.
