Vacuum Excavation

WorkOften it is necessary to know the exact depth, size, or material of the underground utility. This can be accomplished using a non-destructive method of digging known as Vacuum Excavation. This method uses either high pressure water or air to loosen and disturb the soil. A high suction vacuum then removes the soil.

Traditional excavation equipment such as a backhoes may damage the utility in the excavation process or require a larger excavated area.

Vacuum excavation can excavate a 6-inch diameter or larger hole to depths of 18-20 feet providing access to the target utility. Precise vertical and horizontal information can then be obtained in addition to material type without damaging the utility.
